FREAKS ON PARADE Tour live at Ruoff Music Center / 08-31-24
Review and Photos by John Geiger
The Freaks On Parade tour made an explosive stop at Ruoff Music Center on August 31st, offering an unforgettable evening of live rock & roll. The show featured a powerhouse lineup with Rob Zombie co- headlining, along with legend Alice Cooper, industrial heroes Ministry, and proto-grunge rock band Filter. Each band brought a unique energy, creating an electric atmosphere that captivated the audience from beginning to end. Fans were treated to an engaging mix of theatrical visuals, heavy guitar riffs, and iconic songs.

FILTER opened the show with a strong, high-energy set that matched their studio sound. Lead singer Richard Patrick's stage presence was magnetic, and the crowd responded enthusiastically to hits like "Hey Man, Nice Shot" and "Take a Picture." Despite some issues with the venue's camera work, Filter set a great tone for the night.

MINISTRY followed, delivering their signature industrial metal sound with a setlist packed with fan favorites like "Stigmata" and "Just One Fix." While their music hit hard, the performance lacked some stage energy, which resulted in a quieter crowd reaction toward the end.

ALICE COOPER then took the stage, showing that even at 76, he still knows how to command an audience. With a setlist full of classics like "Poison" and "School’s Out," plus a few theatrical elements, Cooper's performance was a crowd-pleaser and highlighted why he remains a rock legend.

Finally, ROB ZOMBIE closed the night with an unforgettable performance. His set was a visual spectacle, complete with horror-themed imagery and stage props. Zombie's energetic delivery of hits like "Dragula" and "Superbeast" left the audience buzzing long after the show ended.

Overall, the Freaks On Parade Tour stop here in Indiana delivered a night filled with diverse rock styles, captivating performances, and a visual experience that kept fans engaged and entertained throughout. Each band contributed their unique flair, making the show a memorable celebration of rock and roll.

Honestly, the way you described the pacing of the night reminded me of classic Snake Game: each band adding another segment of energy, building the momentum until Zombie came in and completed the full, unstoppable chain. Sounds like a legendary evening!
Mr Flip is a physics-based 3D arcade game where you control Mr Flip, a rag doll character, performing flips and landing perfectly on the target area.
The way each level introduces new mechanics keeps the game fresh and engaging. When I first started with melon playground, mastering the timing on the bouncing platforms was tricky, but incredibly satisfying once I nailed it.
Rob Zombie closed the night with the modern, horror-tinged visual chaos that audiences have come to expect. His performance of "Dragula" and "Superbeast" was an energetic end to a show like this. Survival Race
